ROSALES— Aside from its scenic natural resources, tasty delicacies, and festivals, the Pangasinan now offers a European feel through its European windmill-themed Christmas centerpiece in one of the prime malls here.

The centerpiece is aimed at highlighting the windmill element which usually is not given much attention in a European Christmas setting, said SM Rosales the mall assistant manager Catherine Garcia.

“It’s meant to provide mall-goers the feeling that you’re like out of the country,” she said.

Previous Christmas themes of the mall were angels, giant cupcakes, Santa workshop, Hugo, among others, said Garcia.

After the unveiling ceremonies, kids and kids-at-heart enjoyed having their pictures taken inside the windmill structure which showcases a winter wonderland, miniature Christmas village.

Alongside the putting of the windmill display, the mall launched their “Christmas bears” project, as part of their corporate social responsibility.

When one buys a Christmas bear, the proceeds will go to a charity, said Garcia. (Johanne R. Macob)
