In a media interview, Gov. Espino said that the present administration has prioritized various programs that would benefit the youth to include the indigenous people residing in various parts of the province specifically in the towns of San Nicolas, Sison, Mangatarem, Bayambang and city of Alaminos.

We have offered equal access to education for deserving youths who belong to low income families, he said, as he stated that education must be given utmost importance to secure the future of the younger generation.

As per record, the Espino administration supports a total of 6,897 scholars since academic years 2007 up to 2015 which exclude the additional 50.

In a related development, Gov. Espino urged the youth to develop a ‘sense of patriotism’ by memorizing and singing the provincial hymn.

He said that ‘Luyag Ko Tan Yaman’ (Pangasinan provincial hymn) speaks about ones love and pride for the province.

“It is the only thing that binds us as one Pangasinense race,” the Governor said as he disclosed that every Pangasinense must be proud of his or her roots.

To express pride in its simplest form Gov. Espino said, “let us sing our provincial hymn by heart.” (Ruby R. Bernardino)
