ALAMINOS CITY— Thousands of residents from the city’s 39 barangays availed of free health and well services provided by the local government unit during its first One-Stop-Shop Health and Wellness Program at the Don Enrique Braganza Complex and Plaza Marcelo Ochave, Alaminos City last November 14.

According to Mayor Arthur Celeste, the program formed part of his administration’s Kalinga sa Barangay program which underscores the city government’s commitment to deliver quality health care services for its people “to ensure the best interest and general welfare of every Alaminian.”

Free services were extended for minor surgeries, eye consultation and eye care, legal consultation, pap smear and circumcision, random blood sugar test, blood typing, tooth brushing activity, manicure and pedicure, massage, and haircut.

During the event, the Alaminos City Library headed by Zenaida Romero held a storytelling session for children while their parents avail of the services.

The program was spearheaded by the tourism and health offices led by consultant on tourism affairs, Carolyn Sison and city health officer, Dra. Ma. Victoria Carambas; Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Philippine Dental Association-Pangasinan Chapter, and Philippine Red Cross-Alaminos City among others. (Johanne Macob)
