3 ‘Urdujas’ jumpstart Roxas’ presidential bid

AS “KUYA NG BAYAN”

LP presidential candidate Mar Roxas could not have asked for more after his “Three “Urdujas” (4th District Rep. Gina de Venecia,, 3rd District Rep. Baby Arenas and 6th Distric Rep. Marlyn Agabas) came out in full force to demonstrate their full support for him in Pangasinan.

Urduja is a legendary warrior princess who ruled the kingdom of Tawalisi in the province of Pangasinan.

3- URDUJAS

Roxas flashes the “Laban” sign with the crowd led by the 3 Urdujas.

Last Tuesday, November 3, the Malimgas market in Dagupan City literally turned yellow as Roxas supporters came wearing yellow shirts to meet the original Mr. Palengke who came for a dialogue with the market vendors and market-goers.

This time however, Mr. Roxas visited as the Kuya ng Bayan, according to Rep. De Venecia, who likened Roxas to an elder brother who is “matoor ya manserbi, maaron agi” (honest servant, caring sibling).

“Like an elder brother, Secretary Mar has been helping the Filipinos to have affordable medicines through his Cheaper Medicines Law, find employment through the call-center industry and PESO (Public Employment Service Office) that he established, and control criminality through the Operation Lambat Sibat that he put up when he was DILG Secretary,” Ms. De Venecia said.

The “three Urdujas” are convinced that Roxas is the most qualified among the presidential candidates and the best contender to continue the Tuwid na Daan vision of Pres. Benigno Aquino III.

The recent visit enabled Mr. Roxas to reach some 11, 200 supporters who attended his dialogue with Pangasinan tricycle drivers and operators at the CSI Stadia, Dagupan City and the three  multi- sectoral meetings in Malimgas Market, San Carlos Gym in San Carlos City and Municipal Gymnasium in Rosales.

Among those who joined Roxas to openly show their support are: Abono party list Rep. Conrad Estrella, former Rep. Ma. Rachel Arenas, Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez, San Carlos City Mayor Julier Resuello and Vice Mayor Joseres Resuello, Urdaneta City Mayor Amadeo Gregory Perez IV and Calasiao Mayor Mark  Roy Macanlalay, and former Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza.

Pangasinan with 1.6 million registered voters, is the third most vote-rich province in the country. (Leonardo Micua)
