NGCP restores full transmission service Oct 20

ALL transmission lines of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in separate areas of Pangasinan that were felled and damaged by Typhoon “Lando” at dawn of Oct. 18 have already been restored and are now under normal operating condition.

The latest to be restored at 6:17 p.m. at presstime was the Labrador-Bolinao Kv (Kilovolt) line was last Wednesday which in turn restored transmission service to parts of the franchise areas of the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco)  and the entire Pangasinan Electric Cooperative 1 (Panelco).

Expected to have electric service earlier were homes and establishments in Labrador, Sual, Alaminos, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Agno, Bani and Bolinao, all in western Pangasinan.

The resumption of service of 69 Kv line also restored power to the franchised areas of Cenpelco, namely San Carlos City, Binmaley, Lingayen, Bugallon, Aguilar, Mangatarem, Urbiztondo and parts of Basista last Wednesday.

Earlier, the San Manuel-Umingan Kv line resumed transmission and restored power to parts of the franchised areas of Pangasinan Electric Cooperative III (Panelco III and Cenpelco namely Asingan, San Nicolas, Natividad, Tayug, Sta. Maria, Umingan and San Quintin. (Leonardo Micua)
