SUPER typhoon Lando forced the organizers of the 2015 Universities Colleges Athletic Association of Pangasinan Jimmy Fernandez Basketball Challenge to suspend the holding of the best-of-three championship series because the Dagupan People’s Astrodome had to be used as evacuation center.

Jon Cancino, commissioner of the officiating National Basketball Referees Organization (NABRO) Dagupan City chapter said he’s just waiting a call from the league commissioner PJ Samson and surmises that the finals series between defending champions Lyceum Northwestern University Dukes and University of Pangasinan-Phinma Flames might start next week or early part of November.

Dukes climbed the championship round by routing AIE College Green Eagles, 99-54, and Flames by ousting Philippine Colleges of Science and Technology Topnotch, 89-82, on October 15 at Dagupan People’s Astrodome.  (JAG, Jr.)
