6 chosen for Most Outstanding Senior Citizen awards

LINGAYEN – The Most Outstanding FSCAP (Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines) Pangasinan-Chapter president and OSCA (Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs) head will be known on October 14.

The finalists for the Most Outstanding FSCAP president are Carlos Nuevo (Agno), Jose Verzosa (Lingayen) and Sofronio Domantay (Malasiqui), while the finalists for the Most Outstanding OSCA head are: Belinda Barrozo (Villasis), Theresita Revote (Pozorrubio) and Dr. Maria Sibolboro  (San Manuel.)

Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer Emil Samson, Jr. said all six finalists chosen from all cities and municipalities in the provinces are already winners. The technical committee will simply determine ranking of each.

A three-day validation on the performance of the nominees regarding their various accomplishments was undertaken by a technical committee from October 5 to 7 to determine the nominees’ compliance with the established criteria set by the selection committee.

The winners will be announced during the awarding ceremonies on October 14 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center at the Capitol Compound here in observance of the National Senior Citizens Month this October.
