SM City Rosales celebrates Grandparents Day
A SERIES of activities to salute grandparents and champion the cause of lonely elderly were held at SM City Rosales.
Some 400 elderly from Villasis joined the Zumba after a grandwalk at the mall’s perimeter.
Meanwhile, indigent elderlies of Rosales were given free medical and dental checkup during the mall’s employee volunteerism program in partnership with Rosales Health Unit and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Rosales. SM employees assisted them during their check-ups and gifted them with grocery items. Free reading glasses were also given as an early gift for the elderly.
The activities were aimed at creating awareness among grandchildren and the youths to nurture their love, and tap the wisdom and heritage of their grandparents.
