Police mobile skids off along TPLEx

LINGAYEN— A police officer is now in a serious condition after the Philippine National Police (PNP) patrol vehicle he was driving fell off road along Barangay (village) Tomana West in Rosales town along the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx) last Friday. 

The driver identified as PO3 Gregorio Abalos, was with PO1 Arvin Asis and Romino Navarro- all personnel of Natividad Police Station (NPS) and were travelling northward when the accident happened at about 6:45 a.m. 

Abalos, 45 years old, married was rushed at the Dr. Marcelo Chan Memorial Hospital in Rosales and still in a serious condition while his companions only suffered slight injuries.

According to Rosales chief of police, P/Chief Inspector Norman Florentino, initial investigation showed that no other vehicle is involved in the accident and cause of the accident was still being determined at presstime.

Florentino said the police mobile, a Toyota Hilux with plate number SJG 959, was also damaged. (Johanne Macob)
