Four drug pushers fall

BUY-BUST OPERATIONS

LINGAYEN– Four drug pushers were arrested by the police in two operations of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG) in coordination with police stations of Infanta and San Carlos City.

In Infanta, two drug pushers tagged by the police as newly emerged drug personalities in the town were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Potol last September 1.

The suspects yielded 20 grams of shabu which police described as “bulto” (street name for bigger volume of illegal drugs) with estimated P66,000 street value.

Suspects were identified as Raymund Sevilla, 31, of Barangay Mangahan, Subic, Zambales, and Norma Padua, 24, of Barangay Sabaru, Alaminos City.

Seized from them, including the illegal drugs, were one Caliber .45 Armscor pistol with six bullets and two magazines, and one Cal. 22 magnum revolver with bullets.

Sevilla yielded one sachet of shabu and P6,910 in different denominations.

A case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 and violation of RA 10591 is being prepared against the suspect. 

In San Carlos City, two personalities in the drug watch list were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Barangay San Juan, San Carlos City.

The suspects were identified as Rowel Emperador, 24, No. 3 drug personality in the watch list and Jessica Tamondong, 35, also listed in the drug watch list, both residents of Brgy Bolingit, San Carlos City.

They will be charged with violation of Section 5 and 11 of R.A 9165. 

Recovered from Emperador were two plastic sachets containing shabu, and the marked P500 bill used by lawmen for the operation.

Also recovered from Tamondong were one plastic sachet containing shabu, one aluminum foil containing shabu, one tooter and one lighter. (Leonardo Micua)
