LINGAYEN—The basketball team of the provincial government triumphed over celebrity players, 98-95, during a friendly match held last week at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium.

The Pangasinan Team was composed of government employees and officials in Pangasinan led by Board Member Amado “Pogi” Espino III, Bugallon Mayor Jumel Anthony Espino, and provincial sports coordinator Modesto Operaña.

The celebrity players were JC De Vera, Aaron Villaflor, Ejay Falcon, Matt Evans, Jay Manalo, Lucky Mercado, McCoy De Leon, Rainier Castillo, Cyrus Baguio, Derrick Hubalde, and Jed Aquino.

Board Member Espino said the game, a promotional event for sports development in the province, was organized by the Ryan Gee Talents and Production and the provincial government of Pangasinan. (Johanne Macob)
