LINGAYEN – -The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) distributed P256,000 as financial assistance to 55 families who were affected by tornado, monsoon rains, and typhoons last July.

Five families (one each from the towns of Bani, San Fabian, Sta. Barbara, Calasiao, and Urdaneta City) who suffered deaths due to typhoons Falcon and Egay were given P10,000 financial assistance each.

Four families in Bani, on the other hand, also received P10,000 to help them rebuild their totally damaged houses during the two-week monsoon rain last July while one family whose house suffered minor damages was given P3,000 cash assistance.

Meanwhile, four families in Anda town whose houses were totally destroyed by tornado received P10,000 in emergency shelter assistance worth P10,000 while 41 families in the coastal town of Sual received P3,000 each for their partially damaged houses. (PIO)
