VILLASIS—A 31-year-old tricycle driver, reportedly a drug user was shot dead by motorcycle-riding-in-tandem criminals on Tuesday here.

P/Chief Inspector Jesus Manalo Jr., chief of Villasis Police Station (VPS) identified the victim as Jay Racca, resident of San Hilario Street here.

Racca was picking up a passenger when two men riding a motorcycle stopped beside the victim, shot him several times at close range and immediately fled.

Investigators found five cartridges of caliber 45 pistol.

Manalo said Racca was reported to be a drug user but the police are also considering other motives including a domestic marital problem.

“His battered wife had already filed two complaints against him for violation of the anti-violence against women, and reportedly had a confrontation with the new partner of his wife”, said Manalo.

The investigation of the case is on-going. (Hilda Austria)
