BINALONAN—A businessman was killed and his wife was seriously hurt when they were robbed reportedly by their own store helper and his companions who attacked them while they were inside their store in the afternoon of Aug. 26 in Barangay Poblacion, Binalonan.

The incident, however, was only discovered the following day at 5:50 a.m. by a barangay councilman of Poblacion, Binalonan, Eduardo Lajola.

Teresita identified their assailant as Redentor Palallos, 29, their store helper and a native of Negros Oriental residing at Pasileng Sur, Binalonan.

Elements of the Binalonan Police that responded to investigate the crime, learned from the surviving victim that at about 1:30 PM of August 26, an unidentified male suspect pretended to be a costumer allegedly buying herbicide.

The suspect, without a warning, drew an ice pick and stabbed the neck of Teresita which was witnessed by her husband Ambrosio.

When Ambrosio tried to run, he was blocked and subdued by suspect Pallalos and his two other unidentified male companions who quickly hit him repeatedly in the head with a coco lumber that resulted in his death.

Suspects took the more than P70,000 cash in the store but before they fled, they pulled down the steel door of the store and locked the victims inside.

Teresita was rushed to Urdaneta City District Hospital, Pangasinan for medical treatment.
