More improved health services for Sual residents seen
SUAL – Residents of Sual can again look forward to another improvement in the delivery of basic health services from the local government.
On the representation of Mayor Roberto Arcinue, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) delivered to the town a brand new ambulance.
Ramonito Sabido, former mayor and now municipal administrator, said the municipality has six vehicles being used for emergency, rescue operations and health-related services and the new ambulance will be assigned to the Rural Health Unit headed by Dr. Graciela Ramirez-Aloit.

Mayor Arcinue said the town government has been conducting medical-dental-surgical missions twice a month and “we need every equipment, medicines and professional support that are available.”
Mr. Arcinue cited the support from San Miguel Foundation which has provided medicines and made available its state-of-the-art mobile clinic to the town’s medical-dental missions.
According to Dr. Aloit, aside from the twice-a-month medical missions, the local government has started the computerization of its health data bank to expedite the provision of needed health services in the barangays.
The municipal government also employs eight midwives that are working together with the barangay health workers in monitoring the health status of the residents, including those living in far-flung barangays, she said.
The mayor also envisioned that soon all of Sual’s 19 barangays will have each a barangay health and day care centers before his term ends. He said only three barangays do not have yet health center owing to the unavailability of government site.
Dr. Aloit said the health initiatives of Mayor Arcinue have catapulted the town of Sual to fourth overall standing in the annual search for Best LGU in Health Program Implementation in Pangasinan.
