Father stabs dead 7-year old son, then commits suicide

BINMALEY– A jealous husband in Barangay Dulag here, who could not cope with the hurt he experienced after seeing his wife, reportedly an overseas Filipino worker in Dubai, with another man in a picture posted on Facebook, drove him to kill his seven-year old son while severely injuring his stepson.
Then he committed suicide.
Virgilio Castro, 38, married, was seen hanging by the ceiling of the house of his brother-in-law Edgar Zamora on July 25.
Before committing suicide, Castro stabbed both his son Versheles Shen Castro, 7, in the back and his stepson Shean John Zamora, 8, who was wounded in his chin and right armpit.
Their neighbors who responded to the screams of the two boys rushed the latter to the hospital where the young Castro died while undergoing treatment. Zamora is still confined at the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City.
Castro reportedly drank liquor before committing suicide.
His rage was reportedly caused by pictures of his wife posted on Facebook with an unidentified man. When he phoned in his wife, a man took his call.
The elder Castro was brought to Ramirez-Bautista Memorial Hospital this town but was pronounced dead on arrival by his attending physician. (Tita Roces)
