LINGAYEN– The provincial board here on Monday (July 13) approved provincial ordinance 26-2015 providing for the policies and fees of the carotid duplex scan (CDS) procedure at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH).

The rules are 1) CDS will be performed at the Heart Station of the PPH by a vascular medicine consultant who is a board certified cardiologist with one year training in peripheral vascular medicine together with a trained vascular technician as required by the Philippine Society of Vascular Medicine; and (b) all CDS studies are on cash basis.

Schedule for the performance of CDS will be every Tuesday at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday at 1p.m. to 3p.m.

Charges for the CDS procedures for out-patient/pay-in patient is P2,800 plus a reader’s fee of P1,000; and P2,500 for charity/indigent patient, which includes P800 reader’s fee.- (Johanne Macob)
