Couple shot dead by HRIT
SAN QUINTIN –A couple was shot dead by unidentified hitmen-riding-in-tandem (HRIT) last Wednesday along Dipalo Bridge, Barangay Bantog here.
Killed were Lorenzo Ines, 51, farmer and his wife, Maryrose Ines, 48, from Sitio Cadanglaan, Barangay San Maximo, Natividad who were riding their motorcycle when shot several times by motorcycle-riding suspects.
They were rushed to Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug town but were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Investigators recovered at the crime scene four fired cartridges of caliber .40 for ballistic examination at the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory Office in Urdaneta City this province.
Motive for the killing is still being ascertained. (Tita Roces)
