FORMER Fifth District Rep. Mark Cojuangco, with barangay officials and youth of Manaoag town, got together and played, posed for posterity, exchanged pleasantries and dined via boodle fight during the launching of the Vice Mayor Lito Arenas Friendship Cup on June 6 in Barangay Pao.

It was a great opportunity for bonding and camaraderie.

Cojuangco, who was their special guest, was warmly welcomed by the participating youths and other officials.

Arenas, a mango magnate and farmer, told the crowd that prior to entering politics, he has known Cojuangco, as well as Engr. Rosendo So, founding chairman of Abono party-list for a long time.

Former Fifth District Rep. Mark Cojuangco makes a free throw during the Vice Mayor Lito Arenas Friendship Cup participated in by more than a thousand youth from different barangays in Manaoag town on June 6. He is joined by various teams in their photo-op and together participated in the boodle fight for their lunch.

He introduced the former congressman as the next governor of Pangasinan in 2016 pointing out that Cojuangco has been very supportive of his programs in Manaoag.

Cojuangco said in his speech that he admires Arenas for his programs, especially sports for the youth aimed at making them productive citizens.

He said sports is good for their health and in developing one’s character and gives important lessons in life.

He told them about his political victories in the fifth district, having won thrice as congressman by garnering not lower than 90 percent of the votes cast.

He said this reflects his good performance in attending to the needs of all sectors.

He is optimistic that with his skills, knowledge, experience and good track record, he could bring the same to all corners of the province if elected governor in 2016. He was well applauded when he told them about this political intention.
