PCSO donates brand new ambulance to Dagupan

MAYOR Belen T. Fernandez and City Health Officer Leonard Carbonell received last June 8 a brand new ambulance donated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PSCO) for the City of Dagupan.

PCSO Chairman Erineo Maliksi and other PCSO directors handed over the symbolic key to Fernandez during the turnover ceremony at the PCSO National Office in San Juan, Manila.

“On behalf of the City Government of Dagupan, our warmest thanks to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office for donating brand new View Ambulance unit which will be used by our City Health Office to immediately respond during health emergencies,” Fernandez said.

She added that the use of ambulances of the city government is free as part of her Unliserbisyo free health services especially for the indigents. For ambulance service, one may contact the following numbers:

Fernandez encouraged Dagupenos to save the numbers and share these with family and friends.

PCSO Chairman Maliksi said Dagupan was chosen as among the ambulance beneficiaries because of its extensive health services for the poor and with the presence of numerous hospitals in the city.

He also advised the city to maintain and take care of the new ambulance which is worth almost P1 million. (CIO)
