ALAMINOS CITY– The city government of Alaminos now provides a birthing facility for expectant mothers.

The Alaminos Birthing Facility is set to be inaugurated on June 23.

The birthing facility is considered a breakthrough in the field of maternal health of the city and is considered the biggest, so far, of its kind in the entire first district of Pangasinan.

According to Dr. Ma. Victoria Carambas, the Alaminos Birthing Facility, fully air-conditioned with a 15-bed capacity, provides pre-natal checkup, family planning, normal spontaneous delivery, postnatal, newborn care and newborn screening.

Mayor Arthur Celeste said the facility is part of the city government’s mandate to provide health care services not only to the people of Alaminos City but also to those from the neighboring municipalities. (Johanne Macob)
