STA. BARBARA—The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will proceed to build a substation that will house a 100-power transformer to further improve delivery of power to the province.

Engr. Alan Medrano of the NGCP Northern Luzon said the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) approved the NGCP’s request after it conducted an inspection and public hearing.

In return, NGCP donated two classrooms and a comfort room to one school and one classroom to another barangay school. These were inaugurated last May 12.

Imelda Bonifacio, Cablong Elementary School (CES) principal, said the two classrooms will be used by grade five and grade six pupils or by kinder pupils.

Medrano said the project is part of the corporate and social responsibility of the NGCP. (Hilda Austria)
