KBP-Pangasinan wins national award

THE Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan Chapter bagged the second highest award in the annual awards program of KBP for its members

during its 42nd National Anniversary program.

KBP-Pangasinan was declared first runner–up nationwide in the KBP Incentive Program in 2014 held at the Elizalde Hall at the Star City on April 28.

KBP National President Ruperto Nicdao, Jr. and National Chairman Herman Basbano presented the plaque of recognition and a cash prize of P5,000 for being a finalist and another P35,000 for winning the award.

The award was received by current chapter President Noel Sibayan, Vice-Chair Jay Mendoza, Auditor Bernie Errasquin and Standards Performance Officer Mark Espinosa.

Mendoza expressed the chapter’s gratitude to its local partners in various projects. “Without them, this award would not be possible,” he said during the weekly KBP Forum.

The local chapter was recognized for its active involvement not only in regular information dissemination but also in various socio-civic projects in the province that included tree and mangrove planting and blood donation drives. (PIA-Pangasinan)
