LINGAYEN – “Walang hihigit pa sa pagiging handa sa panahon ng kalamidad,” thus stressed Vice-Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr.  during the Disaster Preparedness Dialogue for the “Operation LISTO” project of the Department of the Interior and Local Government held in Dagupan City last May 12.

Speaking on behalf of Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr., Mr. Calimlim said the governor is providing more resources to further intensify the disaster response of the provincial government particularly during calamities.

Operation LISTO’s roll-out workshop which started in March with the local chief executives, chiefs of police and fire marshals is now on its second phase. The third phase will enjoin the participation of the youth.
