Cops arrest seven in anti-drug drive

CAMPAIGN SHIFTS TO HIGH GEAR

LINGAYEN — Lawmen scored big anew in the campaign against illegal drugs last week when four persons in the middle of a sniffing session were arrested in Binmaley while a government employee was arrested in Natividad in a buy-bust operation.

Combined agents of the police and of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested the four suspects while already high on drugs at  1:00 p.m. of May 5 in Barangay Sta. Rosa, Binmaley.

The lawmen swooped down at the house of Ronald Condesa, 42, and found the latter and three others busy consuming their drugs.

The others arrested were Antolin Tadeo, 38; Marlon Tadeo, 38; and Bhernie Ramirez, also of the same place.

The sniffing session was being done in the bedroom of Condesa, the police said.

CARTOONnews 150510Seized from the suspects were one sachet of shabu, two improvised leveling straw, one improvised totter, two plastic sachets with alleged shabu residue, four lighters, one rolled aluminum foil, one red eyeglasses and others.

All the four were  charged with violation of Anti-Drugs  Act.

NATIVIDAD

Meanwhile, the police arrested the water resources operator of the Metro Tayug Water District in Poblacion East, Natividad who was tagged as a known drug pusher or peddler in the area.

Arrested in a buy-bust operation at 6:00 p.m. on May 4 was Jose Domondon, 51, alias ” Pepe”.

Seized from him was one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu, two pieces of P100 bill, two empty sachets of shabu and others.

LAOAC

Meanwhile, the number one drug personality in Laoac town managed to escape just before lawmen raided his house at 6:00 a.m. of May 5 in Botigue, Laoac.

Ronald Garcia, alias “Onad”, the number 1 priority target of the police in Laoac, is now the object of a manhunt.

Found by the raiders in his house, aside from illegal drugs and paraphernalia, was a fragmentation grenade covered by an adhesive tape.

The raiders were armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Renato Pinlac of Branch 57 in San Carlos City.

Among those who joined the raid were elements of the Pangasinan Police Office, Provincial Investigation Branch, Regional Intelligence Unit of the Police Regional Office 1 and the Pangasinan Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).

Seized from the house of the suspects were one film canister containing 11 pieces of small heat-sealed sachets said to be containing shabu, one brown small box containing 29 empty sachets, two sealed packs of cigarettes, one empty pack of cigarettes, 1 scissors, 5 disposable lighters and P300 cash.

Garcia was charged with the cases of violations of Republic Act 9165 (anti-illegal drugs act) and RA 105.

VILLASIS

In the town of Villasis, two top drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by town police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Piaz late afternoon of May 6, the police said.

Arrested were Ronnie Thate, alias “Pido”, 39, a farmer of Barangay Piaz, Villasis, tagged as No. 6 in top priority list of the Villasis Police; and one Rozenake Agliam, 34, of Carosucan Sr., Asingan, a newly emerged illegal drug pusher in the area.

They were arrested when they agreed to sell the substance called “shabu” to an undercover policeman.

When frisked by arresting officers, the two yielded 10 more plastic sachets of suspected shabu, three pieces of open plastic sachets and five pieces of P100 bill – (Leonardo Micua/Tita Roces)
