Watch out for “Dazzling Dasol”
DASOL—Let it be known from here on and forward that this town, the serene and picturesque coastal area in western part of Pangasinan, famous for its pristine beach and salt industry, will now be known as “Dazzling Dasol”!
The ordinance, authored by Councilor Miguelito Nono, adopting the new tagline in addition to being “Home of Quality Salt”, was passed by the municipal council in pursuit of its tourism development as a first class tourist destination in 2020.
The “Dazzling Dasol” tagline will be officially used in all the local government units’ communications, making it a trademark of the town.
Dasol is endowed with beautiful natural resources, from the purest and whitest salt to the crystal blue coastal waters of Dasol Bay, from the long and cleanest rivers, to the rich mangroves, the green hills and mountains overlooking the vast West Philippine Sea to the sparkling smiles of the joyful Dasolinians.
“Dasol has an inspiring beauty and resources locally and internationally known, thus, by association we have a “Dazzling Dasol”,” the ordinance said.
The town, a third class municipality, is also famous for its Tambobong white sand beach. Per the 2010 census, it has a population of 26,991 people. ( Tita Roces)
