Local ICT councils prepare for national Olympiad

THE Pangasinan Information and Communications Technology (PICT ) and Metro Dagupan Information and Communications Technology (MDICT ), together with University of Pangasinan, are coordinating the national competition for the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) on May 12-13, 2015 to be held at the University of Pangasinan in Dagupan City.

The winner of the competition will compete in the prestigious International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in Kazakhstan.

NOI.PH is the official qualifier of Filipino high school students to be able to compete at the prestigious International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) this year, as approved by the IOI International Committee.

This year will be Philippines’s first time to compete in the IOI.

NOI.PH  has been made possible with the support of the Department of Science and Technology Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) through its Executive Director, Usec. Louis Napoleon Casambre, and Deputy Executive Director Monchito Ibrahim.

The NOI is sponsored by Bitstop Network Services, headed by its CEO, Wilson Chua, and Kalibrr, headed by its CEO, Paul Rivera.

MDICT and PICT are calling on the top high school students in the region to register and attend this prestigious event so that they can be exposed to the mechanics of the competition and be prepared to join next year’s competition.
