Four arrested in drug buy-bust in Villasis
VILLASIS—The campaign against illegal drugs netted four more suspects.
The suspects were arrested by the police in a drug raid after a buy-bust operation in a house on Zone 2, Poblacion here at past noon of March 31 when lawmen caught men repacking shabu in one room.
The raid by the police in coordination with the Philippine Dug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) resulted in the arrest of Eddie Boy Rabe, 51, a resident of the place and Joel Mones, 35, of Barangay San Nicolas.
Also arrested were Jesus Dingle, 43, of Barangay Lipay; and Jomar Marquez of Barangay Puelay who were caught in the act of repacking shabu in one of the rooms in Rabe’s house.
Confiscated from Rabe and Mones were one P500 bill used as buy-bust marked money and five pieces of sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu.
Also recovered from the possession of Mones was one caliber .38 revolver loaded with six pieces of live ammunition.
Seized from Dingle and Marquez were nine pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets also believed containing shabu, one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried marijuana leaves and four pieces plastic glass tooter and other drug paraphernalia.
The suspects together with the confiscated evidences were brought to the Villasis Police Station for documentation while the arrested suspects were brought to the town’s Rural Health Unit for drug testing.
The recovered heat sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and marijuana leaves and drug paraphernalia’ were brought to the Provincial Crime Laboratory Office, Lingayen, Pangasinan for laboratory examination
The recovered firearm was brought to the Urdaneta City Crime Laboratory Office for ballistic examination.
