LITTLE-KNOWN Joey delos Reyes of Manila’s Team Standard Insurance registered the fastest time in the three-day annual Tour of Pines 2015 Vuelta Dagupan bicycle road race held last April 10-12 that started in Dagupan City and ended in Baguio City via the Marcos, Halsema and Naguilian highways.

Delos Reyes clocked the 118-kilometer mountainous trek bikefest in four hours, 11 minutes and 35.4 seconds beating Pangasinenses Aidan James Mendoza and Jinggo Tabayoyong both from San Manuel Cycling Club, finishing second and third 4:25.4 minutes and 5:37.0 minutes adrift, respectively.

Jason Banate of Mossimo Phils. Road Bike Cycling Team ruled the 25-35 category in while Resty Aragon of Excellent Noodles squad topped the 36-45 division and Virgilio Valenzuela also of Excellent Noodles won the 46 and above class.

The women’s category was won by Marella Salamat of Corratec Pilipinas while Carlito Magno of JAC Motors reigned in the managers’ group. (JAG, Jr.)
