LINGAYEN– Watch a fleet of colorful bancas cruise again along the Agno River from this town’s Sitio Bantayan, Pangapisan Norte to Baῆaga Bridge in Bugallon on May 1, now a traditional feature of the Pista’y Dayat celebration.

Expected to participate in this year’s Banca Parada are 140 contingents from various towns, national government agencies, non-government organizations, private sectors and other stakeholders that will be depicting the theme “I Love Pangasinan” in their fluvial float entries.

Banca Parada event chairman Alex Ferrer, Provincial Employment Services Officer, said registration period for fluvial float contingents is April 6 to 25. Only 70 entries shall be accepted for categories A (barangay) and B (NGAs, City and Municipal LGUs, business sector and stakeholders).

Banca Parada is a component of the “Ilog Ko, Aroen Tan Bilayen Ko” advocacy of the provincial government under the Coastal Resource Management Program of the Espino administration.
