LINGAYEN,– The Pangasinan State University (PSU) is set to confer the Gawad Parangal Award to undergraduate students in the province who excelled in their academic studies.

Dr. Dexter Buted, PSU president, said the Gawad Parangal aims to recognize the students’ contributions to the future of the country and their exemplary attitude in attaining outstanding achievements.

He cited the importance of reconizing the accomplishments of students under difficutlt circumstances and serve as good models despite the odds.

All nine campuses of the university nominated five students. Among the nominated students, only one, however, was chosen to deserve the award. (PIA Pangasinan)
