Pangasinan II Leads R1AA by an Avalanche of Gold Medals

DepEd Pangasinan II emerges as the over-all champion in the recently concluded Region I Athletic Associations (R1AA) Meet last February 20 in Manaoag town. Pangasinan II amassed 88 gold; Ilocos Norte, 41gold; La Union, 37; Pangasinan I, 30; and Urdaneta City, 21 gold medals. Representing Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. in the awarding rites were BM Liberato Villegas, Exec. Asst. IV Ramon Morden and Provincial Sports Director and Exec. Asst. III Modesto Operania. Receiving the trophy for Pangasinan II was Schools Division Superintendent Viraluz Raguindin accompanied by Sports Division Supervisor Enrique Macayan, Asst. School Supt. Shiela Marie Primicias and other school officials and was witnessed by Manaoag Mayor Kim Amador and DepEd Regional Dir. Teresita Velasco. /GDMoran
