P3.2-billion fund up for TESDA scholars in the country

URDANETA CITY – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) allocated P3.2-billion its scholarship fund to help provide knowledge, skills and employment for Filipinos.

Secretary Joel Villanueva, who visited Pangasinan for a series of technical -vocational activities, said  TESDA has allotted a P170 million budget for its scholarship program in Region I.

Qualified scholarship applicants can choose from  the 20,000 programs  and 235 training regulations of TESDA for their skills training, he said.

Villanueva also urged the public to avail of the TESDA On-line program wherein 29 courses using the internet are offered for free. (PIA)
