LDH promotes oral health care to 5,000 Kids
LINGAYEN – The Lingayen District Hospital (LDH) Inter-Local Health Zone (ILHZ) has conducted a series of oral health care promotion in five elementary schools in the second district with over 5,000 school children enrolled.
The health promotion on ‘Orally Fit Child and Essential Health Care Program’ kicked off last January 27 in Pangapisan North Elementary School in Lingayen in observance of the dental health month.
Other elementary schools in the district that participated in said activity were: Domalandan West Elementary School (Lingayen), February 4; Magsaysay Integrated School (Labrador), February 3; Bugallon Central School, February 10; and Mangatarem Central School, February 24.
According to Dr. John Ferrer, HEPO/Public Health Coordinator of LDH, health care promotion strategy which is now on its second year of implementation is conducted by the LDH in partnership with the Provincial Health Office, DepEd Pangasinan, Pangasinan West Central Medical Society, Pangasinan Dental Society, Municipal/City Social Welfare and Development Office and Day Care Workers.
