Best Performing Offices, Employees Recognized

Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. on February 24 led the presentation of awards to outstanding employees and best performing offices of the provincial government for the exemplary performance they have shown in their work.

The outstanding workers received their recognition through the Employee’s Awards and Recognition ceremonies held at the Sison Auditorium here.

Gov. Espino thanked the 171 awardees for doing their best efforts in providing service to the public as he congratulated everyone for the good job they have shown.

He said the work they have performed greatly contributed to the various honor and recognition the provincial government has achieved in garnering various awards of excellence.

The governor likewise told the provincial government workers to learn to appreciate and accept the success of others and urged them to refrain from clinging to the old habit of ‘crab mentality.’

The awards given by the province to the employees include the Service Award for Retirees, Employees’ Health and Wellness Program, Anti-Red Tape Act/Client Satisfaction, 5S of Good Housekeeping, Strategic Performance Management System and Provincial Productivity and Quality Programs.

Human Research Management and Development Officer Janet Asis said the finalists were selected on the basis of quality, efficiency and timeliness of service, among others while being monitored on a quarterly basis.

The winners were also selected on the basis of commitment to service, courtesy, dependability, integrity and professionalism.

The highest awards were given to the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) under the office category and the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital for the hospital category for garnering the Provincial Productivity and Quality Award.

The Bolinao Community Hospital (BCH) was adjudged the Best Performing Community Hospital and Western Pangasinan District Hospital (EPDH) was the best performing among the district hospitals.

The Best Performing Offices were the Provincial Budget Office, Provincial Health Office and the Provincial Engineering Office.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Anna Ma. Teresa S. De Guzman was the Best Performing Chief of Office and the Best Performing Chief of Hospital was awarded to Dr. Genevieve S. Rivera from BCH.

The Best 5S Practitioners were the Provincial Population Office, Provincial Planning and Development Office, General Services Office, Dasol Community Hospital and EPDH.

Best in Anti-Red Tape (ARTA) Compliance and Awareness Drive was awarded to the Provincial Library Office and Dasol Community Hospital.

Most Client-Friendly Office and Hospital were the Provincial Library Office and BCH.

Best Performance Management Team was given to OPAG.
