ELATED by the success of the first Ronda bikefest last year, the Second Ronda Alaminos will be staged on March 15 as one of the highlights city’s fiesta celebration.

The bikefest will again start and finish across the city hall traversing the towns of Bani, Agno (Banganoda junction) and Mabini twice with an approximate distance of 105 kilometers and with a maximum of 60 contestants.

The event, to be sponsored by the Sangguniang Lungsod and Excellent Noodles, will be conducted in three categories, the ex-pro-amateur division and the master and grandmaster-women’s classes with cash prizes at stake for each division plus trophies and medals for the top five lucky winners.

“We are now holding the Ronda annually to entice our young ones get involve to cycling as a competitive sport aims to produce a potential rider in our place that someday soon might bring honor to our city and as well as our province Pangasinan,” said Alaminos City Vice Mayor Jing Aquino.
