The visit to Binalonan and family of late PO2 Mejia

FORMER Pangasinan fifth district Rep. Mark Cojuangco lauded the kind of leadership of Binalonan Mayor Ramon “Mon-mon” Guico III for giving the municipal landscape a facelift for the many projects being implemented under his watch.
Cojuangco, speaking during the recent inauguration and blessing of the newly-constructed Binalonan Police Station, said he and his wife, Rep. Kimi Cojuangco were right when they chose to support Guico as their mayoralty candidate.
He said that Guico’s dedication to his work assures them that the projects and services they provide are properly delivered to the people.

He said they (Cojuangcos) and the mayor have a partnership that will go a long way in their future political fights. Guico is up for another term as mayor while the congresswoman is ripe for another term, too while the former congressman has been going around Pangasinan introducing himself as an alternative candidate for governor in 2016 since the incumbent governor is already in his third and final term.
Referring to Guico’s administration, Cojuangco said, “I don’t think this kind of leadership comes to a town often so the mayor deserves an all the support.”
In the same occasion, Cojuangco hailed the dedication to duty of the Fallen 44 Special Action Force (SAF) members who were mercilessly killed during the bloody Mamasapano, Maguindanao encounter.

He paid tribute to Police Officer 2 Ephraim Mejia from San Nicolas town, one of the Fallen SAF 44 and personally extended his condolences to the bereaved family on February 2 in barangay Calaocan, San Nicolas.
Cojuangco had a quiet moment with the family the chance and discussed the family’s concerns. Also in the wake were Mayor Rebecca Saldivar of San Nicolas, Rep. Marlyn Primicias-Agabas of the 6th District of Pangasinan and Mayor Tyrone Agabas of Tayug.
Cojuangco said the massacre was an act of pure lawlessness that cost the lives of PNP members, adding that the situation calls for strong leadership. He urged the government to work for justice for the slain SAF members so they would not have died in vain.
Meanwhile, Cojuangco also lauded the members of the Binalonan Police headed by Chief of Police, Chief Inspector Oliver Alipio Abayan, for the modern and efficient Binalonan Police Station.
