City to observe Chinese New Year on Feb 16 – 20

AN array of Chinese culture and arts will be showcased in the four- day Chinese New Year celebration here on February 16 to 20.

On February 17, a free tai-chi demonstration will be held at the Senior Citizen’s Park at 9 a.m.; a free Chinese opera mask painting workshop at the Children’s Park at 2 p.m.; a dragon dance at the Senior Citizen’s Park at 4 p.m. and formal opening of the trade fair.

On February 18, a Chinese New Year parade of floats will highlight the celebration and a grand program will be held at 7 pm at the Dagupan City plaza featuring the selection of Little Ms. Chinatown at 5 p.m. and the Chinese Cultural Show.  (CIO)
