2 more arrested , 28 sachets of shabu seized

ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS CAMPAIGN

ALAMINOS CITY–Two more persons suspected of drug dealing in the city were arrested in a raid conducted jointly by members of the Alaminos City Police, the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSTOG) of the Pangasinan Police Office and the Pubic and Order and Safety Office of Alaminos.

The raid in a house in Barangay Poblacion yielded 28 sachets of suspected shabu and paraphernalia, a firearm and ammunition at 10:00 a.m. of Feb.4 led to the arrest of Benjamin Abarra Jr., owner of the house raided by virtue of a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Renato Pinlac of Branch 57, and Christopher Bryan Sanchez, 28, of Poblacion, Bani.

Among other items seized in the raid were one Magnum 22 firearm, three live ammunition of Cal. 22 pistol, one fired cartridge Cal. 22, one light blue plastic film sealer (PFS), four empty plastic sachets, one black garbage bag containing 67 aluminum foil and 15 empty transparent plastic sachets, white garbage bag containing 11 aluminum foils and five empty transparent plastic sachets, 13  live ammunition for  caliber .380, eight used aluminum foil, one  rolled aluminum foil, two  pieces black “buriki” (boring instrument) one bundle plastic sachets with marking “Duva Plas” one pencil case; one Digital Weighing Scale and one masking tape.

Sanchez was inside the house during the implementation of the search warrant but ran to a room and locked himself inside after seeing the raiders. However, policemen managed to forcibly open the room and arrested him.

The suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence are now in the custody of Alaminos City Police Station while the illegal drugs and paraphernalia were submitted to the PNP Crime Laboratory Office in Lingayen. (Leonardo Micua)
