SP okays 14th month pay
REGULAR employees of the Dagupan City government will be rewarded with a 14th bonus this year.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) passed an ordinance during its special session on Dec. 16 setting aside P18 million to cover the 14th month pay and productivity enhancement bonus for the year 2014.
SP Secretary Ryan Ravanzo said the twin bonanza was contained in the P21 million supplemental budget approved in a special session of the legislative body called by Mayor Belen Fernandez, attended by majority of the councilors.
Councilor Jeslito C. Seen, chairman on finance of the SP moved for the measure, and was seconded unanimously by all the councilors.
The productivity enhancement bonus was initiated by Mayor Fernandez in line with the budget circular issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) on December 2 granting Local Government Units (LGUs) the authority to give employees deserved bonus.
