PhilHealth fast-tracks registration of senior citizens

ALL senior citizens in Pangasinan are now served health insurance benefits.

Thus assured Philippine Health Insurance Corporation  (PhilHealth) Regional Office 1 information officer Joseph Manuel, even if the implementing rules and regulations of the concerning law are still being drafted.

Manuel said PhilHealth offices are already closely coordinating with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs offices to facilitate enrollment of senior citizens to the new insurance program.

Republic Act (RA) 10645 directs the coverage of over two million senior citizens without PhilHealth coverage. The senior citizen only needs to present any identification cards such as the OSCA-issued to prove his/her age is 60 years old and above. (Johanne Macob)
