BALUNGAO DISTRICT JAIL

ONE can say a detainee has been reformed if he/she starts thinking and planning for the family’s future.

This is the case for some 103 detainees at the Balungao District Jail who enrolled in the SSS AlkanSSSya Program of the Social Security System who are now looking forward to getting sickness, death and burial benefits in the future.

The SSS Urdaneta office processed their membership inside the jail, making the Balungao jail the first in the region to provide the opportunity for social security to detainees.

Jail Warden C/Insp Roque Constantino A Sison III initiated the introduction of the program to the detainees last October and the program was formally launched last December 12 and had First Lady of Balungao Madam Riza R. Peralta and Narciso Martinez, SSS-Urdaneta City branch manager.
