Dagupan, Mangaldan lodges retain crowns

2nd INTER-MASONIC LODGES FELLOWSHIP GAMES

ALFONSO Lee Sin Memorial; Lodge No. 158 and Mangaldan Lodge No. 354 retained their respective championship crowns in bowling and basketball events in the 2nd Inter-Masonic Lodges Fellowship Games that culminated in two different venues, recently, under the aegis of the Masonic District No. RI-A (Pangasinan).

In the bowling event that was held at the Fun World, at CSI City Mall, ex-banker Rafael de Peralta combined with businessman Maximo Abesamis rolled down the lanes high total pinfalls that sparked Lodge No. 158 to retain its crown in Bracket A. In Bracket B, Tayug-based Agno Lodge No. 75 dethroned Lodge No. 354.

The other winners were: Bracket A – Pangasinan Lodge No. 56 and Hundred Islands Lodge No. 201 as 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. Bracket B – Urdaneta Lodge No. 302, Lodge No. 354, and Moises J. de Guzman Memorial Lodge No. 61 of Lingayen finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runners-up, in that order.

In the basketball event, held at the Leisure Coast Resort, Lodge No. 354 retained the championship title by repulsing Lodge No. 161, 99-70, and Lodge No. 56 crushed Lodge No. 158 for third place in a knock-out game.

District Deputy Grand Master Michael Camilo G. Datario said seven Masonic Lodges participated in both sporting events. (Phil Celi)
