Sta. Barbara bikefest set on Dec. 8
THE province’s master and grandmaster cyclists from neighboring places will strut their wares anew when the 2014 Sta. Barbara Cycling Challenge unfurls on December 8 as an activity of the town’s fiesta celebration.
The bikefest with a maximum of 60 participants, ages ranging from36 years old and above will be flagged off by the town’s chief executive Carlito Zaplan at 11:00 and will be run in two categories.
It will start and finish across the new municipal hall along the MacArthur highway in barangay Maningding passing some portions of national and provincial roads of Sta. Barbara and Malasiqui via barangays Ventenilla, Tebag Menien, Asin, Poblacion, Bogtong Balengew and Marunong, four times, with an approximate distance of 105 kilometers.
The road battle will be sponsored by Excellent Noodles with cash prizes, trophies and medals at stake. – JAG, Jr.
