Mangaldan masons hold fun run

THE Mangaldan Lodge No. 354, Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines, held its three-category fun run, last November 15.

Billed as “Takbo para sa Templo,” the run was categorized into 3K, 5K, and 7K with some 85 male and female runners who answered the starting gun fired by the Lodge’s WM Terry Macaraeg.

The following winners in each category were awarded medallions, certificates of achievement, and cash prizes: 3K Men – Cesar Lapena, 1st; Huber Santiago, 2nd; a Cashmate runner, 3rd. 3K Women – Angelica Ramit, 1st; Maritess Faconate, 2nd; and Carmen Dacanay, 3rd.

In the 5K Men, Demy Calpito,; Joseph Anthony Escala, and, Ronel Bacay won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively. In the 7K Men, winners were Labi Lanchane, 1st; Jan Estrada, 2nd; and, Jake Fatague, 3rd. Villy Jane Membrano, the only runner in the 7K women, eventually won the race.

The proceeds of the activity have been earmarked to augment the funds of the Lodge for the completion of the construction of its temple being erected in Barangay Anolid, Mangaldan. – (Philamer C. Celis)
