PROVINCIAL Election Supervisor Marino Salas said preparations for the Sangguniang Kabataan Elections in February 2015 are underway despite moves and clamor in Congress to postpone the elections.

Salas said Comelec will continue to do its mandate to prepare for the event. The Commission continues to clean its list of SK voters by delisting double registrants and those who have turned 18 years old. From the old 130,000 SK voters, the number has been trimmed down to 107, 867 as of the latest count.

Salas urged all SK voters to register at the nearest Comelec office to be able to participate in the elections on February 21.(PIA)
