Christian group holds Reg’l Youth Conference
LINGAYEN – Some 800 Youth for Christ (YFC) members from eight provinces in Northwestern Luzon participated in the 2014 Regional Youth Conference (RYC) held at the Capitol Complex on October 25-26.
The RYC, conducted by the Couple’s For Christ (CFC) Christian organization in partnership with the provincial government led by Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. held lecture-workshops on Christian living, transformational tracks and sharing of experiences, including sports competitions and singing contests.
“This youth gathering that started in 1995 constantly grows in number yearly,” CFC Provincial Area Director Angelo B. Juan said as he added that participants are from eight provinces in northwestern Luzon namely: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Mountain Province, Kalinga and Benguet.
A welcome program was held infront of the Capitol building on October 25 with Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Nestor Reyes as guest who addressed the participants on behalf of Governor Espino.
Jake Cabiladas, Regional Youth Coordinator of YFC said, “the province of Pangasinan was blessed because for the past 20 years of the youth gathering, this is the first time that delegations from the eight provinces gathered together. (PIO-MGNO)
