Bugallon holds dragon boat race
BUGALLON– A dragon boat race will be one of the highlights of this town’s fiesta celebration this year.
Participating in the first ever dragon boat race to be held along the stretch of Agno River in Brgy. Bañaga on November 27, 2014 are teams from the local government unit to be led by Mayor Jumel Espino, Philippine National Police, Department of Education, and barangay units.
The annual town fiesta celebration will kick off Nov. 24 with a 3K Fun Run in the morning and sing-dance competition in the evening.
Other activities in the weeklong celebration include a dental/medical/optical mission and Senior Citizens and Veterans Night (Nov. 25); a basketball exhibition game and Parishioners Night (Nov. 26); the dragon boat race and Barangay Night (Nov. 27); motorcade and Professionals Night (Nov. 28); street dancing and civic parade and Ms. Bugallon pageant night (Nov. 28); high mass and Youth Night with fireworks display (Nov. 29).
