Pangasinan products hit it big in US fair

INCREASE IN EXPORT REVENUES SEEN

LOS ANGELES, California – The array of Pangasinan products received very encouraging responses from the thousands of spectators who braved the three-digit heat during the International Street Fair and Diversity Festival held last Saturday at the City of Artesia.

While the 20 diverse cultures and ethnic groups exhibited their products and services within the mile-long venue, Pangasinan’s produce stole the show with their incomparable tastes and appearances.

CARTOONnews 141012Prepared by the province’s nine producers and manufacturers, displayed Pangasinan products are dried mangoes, peanut brittles, cashew adobo, boneless bangus, woodcraft and wooden products, bamboo crafts, bamboo craft furniture, braided bamboos, handicrafts and other hand-made products and accessories.

The one-day affair was initiated by the Coalition of Associations from South East Corridor (CASEC) headed by Filipino-American Felix B Lopez and Artesia Chamber of Commerce led by Parimal Shah in collaboration with the City of Artesia.

Hosted by Pangasinan Brotherhood-USA President Ed C Ferrer, the weekend event officially kicked-off a day earlier with a ‘greet and meet’ orientation-dinner at the Marriot Hotel in Cypress.

According to Dan E Nino, past PB-USA president, top government officials led by Governor Amado T. Espino Jr and Vice Governor Ferdinand Z Calimlim Jr. of Pangasinan along with Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez and San Carlos City Mayor Julier Resuello were on hand to lend morale support to their provmates

who want to export their products to the United States.

Others in the delegation were Provincial Board Members Nestor D Reyes, Raul P Sison and Generoso D Tulagan Jr, Sangunniang Panlalawigan Secretary Verna Nava Perez, Provincial Tourism Officer Maria Luisa A Elduayan and Daniel O. dela Cruz and Darwina Sampang, executive assistants to the governor and vice-governor, respectively.
