City basketball coaches to national confab
A DELEGATION of thirty head and assistant coaches representing sixteen secondary school teams in Dagupan City will attend the 2014 National Coaches Convention under the aegis of the NBTC (National Basketball Training Center), on November 4-6, at the Philsports Arena (ULTRA), Pasig
Now on its seventh year, the convention will be held to prepare the Seaoil-NBTC Elite League (with the Junior Regional Championship) in November 2014 to January 2015, and the knock-out games between regional champions, in the first week of February.
Organized by the International Basketball Academy, the convention is sponsored by MVP Sports Foundation of Manuel V. Pangilinan.
This will be the fourth time for the city to send a delegation.
“Three-on-Three,” billed as “NBTC Tatluhan” will be introduced to school teams and will be played on the last day of the National High School Championship, March 5-8 2015, in Manila. This will be for teams that will not be able to make it to the Semi-Finals round of the Championship. (Philamer C. Celi)
